  • Dr. Ashlee J. Vance

    Dr. Ashlee J. Vance, PhD, MA, RN, RNC-NIC, is an Assistant Scientist in the Center for Health Policy and Health Services Research at Henry Ford Health and an Assistant Professor at Michigan State University in the College of Nursing and Department of Pediatrics, College of Human Medicine. Her long-standing commitment is to improve the health of all people, but especially high-risk and critically ill infants. Her research is dedicated to promoting health and health equity for infants and their families exposed to neonatal care by aligning healthcare practices with family-focused values, addressing the social drivers of health that may result inequitable care, and mitigating the long-term impacts of a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) hospitalization. She is federally funded with multiple first-and senior author publications highlighting her extensive background in neonatal nursing, health services, and health equity research.  

  • Dr. Joshua Winowiecki

    Dr. Joshua Winowiecki, DNP, APRN, ACCNS-AG, CCRN, TCRN, is a Clinical Nurse Specialist and Assistant Professor at Michigan State University's College of Nursing, also serves as the inaugural Director of the Center for Practice Transformation. He brings extensive expertise in health equity, program evaluation, and critical care nursing. As a first-generation college graduate and queer scholar, he leverages his diverse experiences to advance the integration of Social Determinants of Health (SDoH) into nursing education and scholarship. Dr. Winowiecki’s dedication to mentorship and innovative program planning enriches his commitment to fostering a more inclusive and impactful approach to health research and education. 

  • Dr. Jordan Braciszewski

    Dr. Jordan Braciszewski, PhD, is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and Senior Scientist in the Center for Health Policy and Health Services Research at Henry Ford Health. As the Associate Director for Training and Education in the Center, Dr. Braciszewski oversees the training of over 75 individuals annually.

    His research, for which he has received over $12M in funding, leverages technology to enhance access to and utilization of empirically-supported treatments for individuals who do not receive traditional means of care.

  • Dr. Sara Santarossa

    Dr. Sara Santarossa, PhD, is an Assistant Scientist in the Department of Public Health Sciences at Henry Ford Health and Assistant Professor of Research at MIchigan State University, and Scientific Director of HFH Patient Engaged Research Core (PERC). As PERC’s Scientific Director, she assists researchers, physicians, and community stakeholders pursuing patient-engaged research and trains patients to be active members of system quality improvement and research teams. She has received funding for innovative engagement activities that included diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Dr. Krista Walker

    Dr. Krista Walker is an Assistant Professor and serves as the Assistant Dean of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Michigan State University in the College of Nursing. In this role, she works with students, staff, faculty from pathway to practice enhancing inclusive excellence efforts college wide. Dr. Walker endeavors build on the partnerships with community partners so that the CON’s reach to demonstrate the college’s commitment to the development of nurses that provide quality, equitable, and inclusive care. She has an extensive background in K-16 education and a large percentage of her career in higher education has been spent on working with domestic and international service-based scholarship programs and service learning. Dr. Walker is a staunch advocate for transformative change that uproots structures and systems of oppression that have historically marginalized underserved populations and continues to do so in the area healthcare.

  • Dr. Jackeline Iseler

    Dr. Jackeline Iseler, DNP, MSN, RN, ACNS-BC, CNE, FCNS, is a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) and academic leader committed to advancing nursing practice, education, and patient care. She serves as the CNS Program Director at Michigan State University. She holds a CNS role at Trinity Health Grand Rapids, supporting evidence-based practice, quality improvement initiatives, and research in acute care settings. Dr. Iseler also co-chairs the Henry Ford MSU Committees for Evidence-Based Practice and Innovation and Interprofessional Education, promoting collaborative approaches to nursing and healthcare.

     Dr. Iseler has contributed to numerous scholarly publications on patient care, hospital administration, and the CNS role. She has co-led student-driven interprofessional education initiatives addressing healthcare needs, including those of transgender individuals and older female adults. Her work reflects a commitment to integrating clinical expertise with education to improve healthcare delivery and outcomes.

  • Dr. Dawn Goldstien

    Dr. Dawn Goldstein, PhD, PMHNP-BC, FAAN is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a recognized leader in mental health education, research, and clinical practice. As Assistant Professor and Program Director for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Program at Michigan State University (MSU) College of Nursing, Dr. Goldstein has been pivotal in advancing mental health education and workforce development through various Michigan Department of Health and Human Services grants.

    Dr. Goldstein specializes in trauma-informed care, PTSD, depression, anxiety, suicidality, and substance use disorders, with a particular focus on underserved populations. She played a foundational role in establishing the PMHNP program at MSU, designing and delivering comprehensive mental health and addiction education through innovative methods and virtual learning technologies. Her leadership extends to developing interprofessional telehealth simulation initiatives, addressing the unique healthcare needs of transgender individuals and older adults.

    An accomplished educational researcher, Dr. Goldstein's work, supported by NIH funding (NIDA 5R25DA056910), highlights her expertise in interprofessional education and experiential learning. She has pioneered the use of virtual simulation and telehealth to train healthcare professionals in integrated primary care and mental health settings. Her commitment to accessible mental health care is evident in her work with diverse populations, including immigrants and uninsured individuals, where she emphasizes the critical impact of social determinants of health.

    Dr. Goldstein’s contributions reflect her dedication to advancing equitable, evidence-based mental health care and preparing the next generation of psychiatric mental health providers.
